Duffin Creek WPCP Stage 3 Influent Pumping Station

The Duffin Creek Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) is located in Pickering on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. This contract involved the construction of a new submersible raw sewage pumping station to convey influent sewage flows to the Stage 3 treatment process on site.

The Stage 3 Influent Pumping Station is a circular submersible wet well design, arranged to ultimately accommodate fourteen 800 horse-power submersible pumps and their associated equipment. Under this contract the station will be equipped to handle a capacity of 1,085 ML/d and with an ultimate capacity of 2,160 ML/d.

This project was part of the ongoing expansion of the existing plant where Kenaidan also completed the design build subgrade contract for this project as well as the Dewatering and Incineration facilities.
