One of the most important stages of any project is preconstruction services. A major activity in controlling cost is the preparation of a reliable conceptual cost estimate in a timely fashion during the design development stage, thus affording the design team reliable information for decision making prior to proceeding with the next stage: working drawings. Kenaidan continually provides these services to our clients. 

At Kenaidan, we view value engineering as an essential service to our clients. Our Preconstruction and Engineering departments treat value engineering as a critical strategic objective. We strive to submit value engineering alternatives to the project team that will produce cost, quality, and schedule benefits. This process in not conducted in isolation; we believe that it is only effective when all project stakeholders are involved from the instance an opportunity is identified.

All aspects of the project design are considered from civil work to interior finishes. Materials, sequencing, logistics, and constructability elements are all reviewed to assess if there are opportunities for improvement.

Value engineering analysis commences at the preconstruction/conceptual design phases, and continues throughout construction. Important considerations include assuring that the design reflects the local surroundings and the existing geotechnical and environmental conditions.
