This contract represents one phase of work to increase the plant's capacity from 347ML/day to 500 ML/day. The project encompasses: installation of secant shoring wall around the perimeter to facilitate 12 m deep excavation; additional 9m deep excavation into rock; 3 new 14m high surge tanks; 2 new water screens; transformers; SCADA system; and numerous pumps and process equipment. Also included is the installation of extensive yard piping, including sanitary force-mains, watermains, process drains, new barrier-free bridge and walkways at Turtle Creek, and yard piping modifications.

Kenaidan is self-performing all mechanical installations and upgrading including low lift pumps, intake screens, high lift discharge piping and three 86,000 lb surge tanks. Construction of the new Jack Darling Sewage Pumping Stations 1 and 2 includes installation of grinders, pumps, odour control equipment, public washrooms, and standby power system.
